The STI/HIV Testing Tool is now available through Healthshare

The tool shows you how to:

  • Offer routine STI/HIV testing in different consultations
  • Conduct routine STI/HIV testing
  • Conduct a brief risk assessment (sexual history)
  • Conduct contact tracing
  • Access available resources and additional support
Routine testing in general practice for STIs/HIV is recommended to ensure timely diagnosis and to prevent onward transmission.

Visit the NSW STI Programs Unit website for STI resources & tools for clinicians, patient factsheets, training opportunities, links to services and young people’s sexual health promotion.
